About IRATA
IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association - companies that perform industrial rope access works) aim is the national and international promotion and development of the safe system that it has pioneered over the last decade. IRATA aims to support its member companies and trained technicians and to ensure that they work in a safe and effective manner.
About IRATA training
The training is arranged indoor and outdoor, where special construction is designed and meets all IRATA requirements. Theory work and written assessments are carried out in a dedicated classroom with various visual aids. Lunch, tea, coffee are included in the course price.

Upon the request accommodation could be provided in the training center facilities. The trainees could spend their free time doing exercises in training gym, playing billiard or tennis, spending time in sauna.
Company insurance covers Instructors and Trainees during the course.
Training
The industrial rope access training is based on compulsory international training system and standards. The certificate, allowing working in various industrial objects onshore and offshore is issued after successful completion of course.
Training center facilities are successfully used for other industrial skills such as painters, riggers, scaffolders, welders training.

IRATA levels’ system
Level 1: a technician who is able to perform a limited range of rope access tasks under the supervision of a level 3 supervisor.
During the training the technician is familiarized with: personal equipment, sets of equipment, equipment inspection requirements, ascending and descending maneuvers, the main principles of rescue works, ropes rigging systems and main knots.
Level 2: a lead technician who is capable of rigging working ropes, undertaking rescues and performing other rope access tasks under the supervision of a level 3 supervisor.
IRATA Level 2 candidates should have a minimum of 1000 hours work experience covering a variety of work tasks over a minimum period of twelve months since achieving Irata Level 1 qualification.
Level 3: a technician/supervisor who is capable of complete responsibility for work projects; is able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required of levels 1 and 2; is conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation; has a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques.
IRATA Level 3 candidates should have a minimum of 1000 hours work experience covering a variety of work tasks over a minimum period of twelve months since achieving IRATA Level 2 certification. To validate an IRATA Level 3 certificate, technicians are required to hold an appropriate First Aid qualification.
Requirements for the candidates
- The minimum age of candidates is 18 years.
- Candidates shall be physically fit and free from any disability or medical condition that may prevent them from working safely.
- They shall ensure that they have an adequate level of fitness, are physically able to perform the tasks expected in terms of strength, agility and co-ordination, and are able to withstand the stresses of the working environment, such as heat, cold, and other inclement weather.

Equipment
Singing Rock and PETZL equipment is used for the training. All equipment is periodically inspected and meets all European Union standards.
