Activities

Today Gridins Group employs around 700 professional and qualified workers from different countries (Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Romania) to the ship building, ship repair and conversion sector. The professional team consisting of project managers, engineers, technologists and foremen – organize management of projects. Mostly the works are carried out on subcontract basis in various European shipbuilding and ship repair yards.

Gridin's Group shipbuilding and ship repair services:

Assembly of sections, ship hull construction;
Slip works;
Outfitting works;
Production and installation of pipeline systems;
Blasting and painting works;
Non-destructive testing of metal thickness and welding seams.

Approximately 40.000 tons of metal production at various customers' yards is made each year.

STX Europe
STX Turku Finland Works were made working with Finnish partners Ablemans Oy. • Assembling/ welding of sections; • Grand blocks construction assem+bling/ welding; • Blocks mounting on slipway (ship hull forming); • Outfitting works. Works were made on building of Cruise vessels: „Freedom of The Seas", „Independence of The seas", "Liberty of The seas", "Oasis of The seas", "Allure of The seas", "Color Magic". STX Rauma Finland Steel fitting and welding works were made on cruise vessels and icebreakers: order NB 367 and NB 368, NB 369. STX Langsten STX Floro STX Aukra Norway On these shipbuilding and ship repair yards, works were made together with our partner Artic Group from Norway. • STX Saint Nazaire. France. Works were made, working with Estonian partner Deimex OU.		STX Helsinki Finland Modernization works on cruise vessel "Color Superspeed 1". • Assembling and welding works on sections, including prefabricating of details; • Grand blocks assembling and welding; • Dismounting of old ship's construction; • Mega block's mounting on ship; • Installation of additional bow thruster. And - Grandblocs include Aluminium structures (prefabrication and mounting); With our Finnish partner Ablemans Oy, specialists from Gridin's Group take a part in other shipbuilding/ship repair projects on different yards in Germany and in Finland: • "UTV Uudenkaupungin Työvene Oy"; • "Turku Repair Yard LTD"; • "Meyer Werft" (manufacturing and repairing of different steel construction on cruise vessel "Disney Dream"); • Parts / sections prefabrication (in Finland) for Theatre and Atrium areas (Cat walk, raised floor, stairs etc. structures), mounting prefabricated sections on to the vessel “Disney 1” and “Disney 2”

Fosen Yard "Bergen Group Fosen" Norway Ro-Ro ferries: "Stena Trader" (NB74) and "Stena Traveller" (NB75). • Grand blocks of superstructure's construction and installation works; • Installation of ship stabilizers; • Prefabrication and installation of pipeline systems; • Outfitting works, different completion works; • Painting works. Multi-purpose supply vessels for offshores: "Bibby Topaz" (NB 76), "Geowave Endevour" (NB77), "Volantis" (NB78), "Deep Cygnus" (NB81): • Outfitting works, different completion works; • Installation of bow thrusters.		Landskrona Varvet Oresundsvarvet (Landskrona) Kallandso Varv Stockholm Repairyard Sweden Beginning from 2006 we successfully worked with ship building yard Landskrona Varvet. In period from 2006 till 2009 – our company was a general contractor in shipbuilding project of 5 hulls of multi-purpose supply vessels for offshores. Gridin's Group specialists made about 95 % of hulls' building amount from total scope of steel works: • Prefabricating of details and stiffeners (bending, cutting); • Details' assembling and welding; • Sections' building; • Blocks mounting on slipway (forming of hull); • Manufacturing and installation of different pipeline systems.

Our specialists take a part in building of cargo-passenger ferries (Car Ferry), in building of special vessel-platform for installation and service of wind generators „WINDLIFT1" and transformation platform. Victor Buyck Steel Constructions Belgium		Salthammer Baatbyggery (Vestnes) West Contractors (Olen) Seaworks (Harstad) Solund Verft Bjorge Norcoat AS Norway Kleven Verft (Ulsteinvik) Norway • Pipes prefabrication; • Different pipes systems installation. Ruukki - Kalajoki plant GG with Finnish partner Ablemans Oy, on June of 2011 begins services in Ruukki - Kalajoki plant, to build and weld structures for offshore wind tower foundations. Total delivery includes a total of 240 of individual structures to anchor the towers and join the structures together. Each jacket requires one transition piece to join the wind turbine tower to the jacket foundation, which is partly submerged under the sea. The transition pieces are 12 meters in diameter and about five meters in height.
